In November, we got to see Laurie Berkner perform, and we had a great time! Not only did my daughter LOVE the music, she LOVED to dance!
I admit, I didn’t know too much about Laurie Berkner other than my kids liked her music, but after seeing her live I was sold. She was fun, and the kids just loved it. Her Christmas album and greatest hits have been on a heavy rotation on our iDevices ever since 😉
And now, the Laurie Berkner band is on tour with a “Dance Party” concert. The band is coming to Princeton, NJ, and if you are thinking about going, you totally should.
The Laurie Berkner Band is hosting two “Dance Party” concerts for families at 11 am and 3 pm on Saturday, January 24 at the McCarter Theatre Center, 91 University Place, Princeton, NJ.
The Laurie Berkner Band will showcase many songs from Laurie’s newest album, The Ultimate Laurie Berkner Band Collection, plus an array of other tunes that encourage kids to get up and dance. With such popular hits as “I Really Love To Dance,” “Fruit Salad Salsa,” “Let’s Samba,” and “Monster Boogie,” along with fan favorites like “Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz),” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” and “Pig On Her Head,” this all-ages show is sure to be one of the top family events of the year. Kids should plan to bring their dancing shoes and a stuffed animal (for their heads). Laurie promises she’ll even put up a disco ball! To give everyone a chance to catch their breath between high-energy dancing moments, the show will also include quieter interludes, with songs from Laurie’s new album, Laurie Berkner Lullabies.
If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids when cabin fever has set in, definitely check out this event! You will not regret it!
